Michuda Construction was contracted to achieve a Silver LEED Certification. During the construction process, Michuda and the Access Living project team worked together to gain additional credits. The team achieved two additional construction credits - one innovation credit for doubling the local harvesting goal and another innovation credit for doubling the recycling goal. In addition to the innovation credits, water efficient landscaping with no potable use or irrigation, as well as water use reduction on site during construction helped the project team gain more credits in the water efficiency category. All of these additional credits enabled the team to achieve Gold LEED Certification status.
