Continuous Process Improvement happens organically at Michuda, due in large part to our Lean Construction initiatives. Employees know that their ideas are welcome, and we are committed to trying new ways of doing things—thoughtfully and methodically.

Innovation can be as simple as bringing together several existing ideas into a new approach, or as complex as completely changing the way problems and issues are solved. One example of this is Michuda Mobile, our newest deployment of jobsite technology. Building Information Modeling (BIM) and secure cloud-based access to the most up-to-date construction documents are just a few additional examples of our forward-thinking technology infrastructure.


We don’t just say that Safety is our #1 priority—we prove it. Every worker on our jobsites is required, at all times, to have the proper credentials for his or her role. Superintendents check workers in and out of the jobsites, they record their attendance at our Daily Huddles, and they check off when they’re issued safety vests each day before work activities begin. The accuracy of our documentation is further assured through Michuda Mobile, our web-enabled technology. We also have job-specific safety training for workers in the field, as well as location-specific requirements for the employees on each of their individual jobs.


The Michuda “Lean Philosophy” is one of our guiding organizational principles. We strive beyond preserving natural resources and minimizing our carbon footprint. To preserve our family legacy, we must ensure the well-being of future generations by continually improving energy efficiency and reducing waste.
