Advocate Health Care: The largest health care provider in Illinois—a faith-based, not-for-profit system of hospitals, healthcare facilities and clinics, graduate medical education, allied health programs, and resources for health and fitness.
Bringing next-generation daVinci Robots to two existing hospital operating rooms without disrupting operations required utility expertise and conscientious sequencing.
Michuda made the necessary accommodations at: Advocate Trinity Hospital in Chicago, Illinois and at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
Renovations at each of these hospital locations included replacing the existing electrical service and lighting. The new electrical supply delivers 20 AMPs on a 120-Volt circuit. Service was extended from a critical branch panel to an existing grounding power panel and data plane. New lighting and switching systems improved visibility and ambient comfort for both staff and patients. The existing DaVinci robots were placed in adjacent operating rooms during construction. All work was completed on off hours and did not disrupt patient care or safety.
