Michuda Construction proudly served as the owner, developer, and construction manager for Evergreen Senior Living, a transformative 144,000-square-foot senior living community in Orland Park, Illinois. The project, located on a sprawling 33-acre campus, showcases Michuda’s ability to deliver world-class facilities that cater to the unique needs of aging populations while seamlessly integrating clinical and residential elements into a cohesive, operationally efficient environment.

Project Overview: The Evergreen Senior Living development features 116 meticulously designed residential units, split into 76 assisted living apartments and 40 private memory care suites. The memory care wing, though attached to the main building, functions as a self-contained community, complete with its own specialized amenities. This strategic separation allows for a targeted approach to resident care, offering dignity and independence to residents while ensuring safety and security.

The memory care wing includes sensory-friendly common areas, full-service restaurants, private dining spaces, a chapel, and interior courtyards. The courtyards provide residents with safe outdoor experiences that promote engagement and reduce the anxiety often associated with memory-related conditions. Thoughtfully designed layouts minimize disruptions, allowing for calm, predictable environments that enhance cognitive health.

Features and Amenities: Evergreen Senior Living is designed with the resident experience at its core. Amenities include:
