Michuda successfully transformed an existing Cath Lab and adjacent support areas to support new imaging technology, expanded clinical capabilities, and upgraded MEP infrastructure. The project delivered a new Procedure Room and fully reconfigured building systems throughout the suite, all executed within an active, patient-care environment requiring strict coordination, safety, and operational continuity.

Project Highlights

Cath Lab Renovation Upgraded mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and architectural systems to support new imaging equipment, including reconfigured utilities, structural coordination, and seamless system integration.

New Procedure Room Delivered a fully compliant clinical space with upgraded finishes, lighting, casework, and integrated technology infrastructure.

Occupied-Space Coordination Completed ceiling-space demolition and removal of legacy infrastructure below active patient care areas without disrupting ongoing hospital operations.

Infection Control & Logistics Implemented hard containment, established dedicated construction access routes, and maintained strict separation from adjacent clean spaces to protect patient safety.

Life-Safety Upgrades Performed night-shift shutdowns to connect to existing fire alarm systems and install a new pre-action fire sprinkler system, ensuring full compliance with hospital life-safety standards.
